7th Gen Hyundai Elantra Unveiled With New Hybrid Option

The Elantra can also be optioned as a hybrid with a 1.6-liter GDI four-cylinder engine, a 32-kW electric motor, and a 1.32-kWh lithium-ion battery. The 2020 edition of the Hyundai Elantra was a bit of a letdown when it comes to design. Well, Hyundai seemed not to care as the seventh generation of the compact sedan is coming for the 2021 model year. Sitting on a new vehicle platform, the 2021 Elantra comes with a new coupe-like look, greater dimensions, lots of tech as well as an all-new hybrid option.
Better Looking Than Before 2021 Hyundai Elantra rearVia Hyundai The South Korean manufacturer wanted to greatly differentiate the seventh-gen Elantra from the previous generation. This is why Hyundai worked to give the four-door compact sedan a coupe-like appearance. This was made possible by making the new Elantra longer by 2.2 inches, wider by an inch and lower by 0.8 inch. Its wheelbase has also been expanded by 0.8 inch.
As per Hyundai, the seventh-gen Elantra is shaped by the Sensuous Sportiness design language (the second model to do so). Its dramatic looks are described as parametric dynamics. This new appearance is marked by a wide parametric-jewel-pattern grille, a long yet low bonnet and parametric-jewel body surfaces. On the rear, it is marked by a high-tech H-Tail lamp and gem-like shapes.
